We investigated how choline magnesium trisalicylate (CMT) helps alleviate bone pain in patients with metastatic cancer. In a carefully designed study involving 26 participants, we compared CMT against a placebo in a crossover format, measuring pain relief at multiple intervals after dosing.
While we observed a significant reduction in pain just one hour post-treatment with CMT, other comparisons showed improvements that didn't reach statistical significance. This suggested that CMT might assist in managing bone pain, potentially complementing traditional opioids, but overall effectiveness is still under exploration.

Many are aware of magnesium’s properties. Personally, I won’t reference online information, instead, I’ll share my honest feedback. I've experimented with various forms and brands of magnesium, and this one has become my favourite. I buy it for my family and encourage others to do the same. It drastically reduces migraines; a dose of magnesium plus potassium alleviates pain within an hour. After regular use, I experienced no pain before or during menstruation, truly a life-saver. While some complain about the taste, I find it manageable, especially compared to some unpleasant tablets. Over time, it becomes less noticeable. I'd highly recommend this for anyone concerned about their health!

This has genuinely saved me! After a high dose of vitamin D, I emptied my magnesium reserves and faced terrifying symptoms—severe leg and neck pain, exhaustion, and heart discomfort. It was a month of fear! My ongoing vitamin D regime continued until I read about its need for magnesium to activate. Initially, I tried magnesium citrate and oxide, but felt hopeless. Then, this product arrived! Within a couple of days, I noticed a significant drop in heart rate while resting, and I felt much better. I urge anyone with heart issues to try this alongside vitamin C—it's potentially life-changing!
Bone pain is a discomfort or ache that originates within the bones themselves and can range from mild to severe. It is different from muscle or joint pain, as it directly affects the skeletal structure. Bone pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including injuries, medical conditions such as osteoarthritis or osteoporosis, infections, or tumors. Symptoms may vary depending on the underlying cause but often include a dull, penetrating ache that may worsen with movement or pressure.
If you're experiencing persistent bone pain, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Imaging tests like X-rays, MRI, or CT scans may be utilized to determine the root cause of the pain. Treatment can vary widely, ranging from medications to alleviate pain and inflammation to physical therapy or, in some cases, surgical interventions. Understanding the underlying cause is crucial to effectively managing bone pain and ensuring the best path to recovery.
Magnesium is a chemical element with the symbol Mg and atomic number 12. It is a lightweight, silvery-white metal that is a member of the alkaline earth metals group. Often classified as one of the most abundant elements in the Earth's crust, magnesium plays a crucial role in various biological functions and is essential for living organisms. In nature, magnesium can be found in large quantities, primarily in minerals such as dolomite and magnesite, and it is also present in seawater.
In terms of health benefits, magnesium is vital for numerous metabolic processes, including energy production, DNA synthesis, and muscle function. It contributes to bone health, helps regulate blood pressure, and supports bone formation by promoting the effects of vitamin D. The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for magnesium varies by age and gender, but it is generally important to include magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and whole grains in your diet to ensure adequate intake. For those who may not receive enough magnesium through their diet alone, supplements are also available; however, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional before starting any supplementation.
Magnesium plays a crucial role in bone health and may help alleviate some types of bone pain, especially if the pain is related to deficiencies. This essential mineral aids in the regulation of calcium levels in the bone, which is vital for maintaining bone density and overall strength. Some studies have suggested that adequate magnesium intake may reduce the risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures, which are common causes of long-term bone pain. However, if you are experiencing significant or persistent bone pain, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to identify the underlying cause.
While magnesium may provide support for bone health, it should not be viewed as a standalone treatment for bone pain. Incorporating magnesium-rich foods, such as leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, can be beneficial in supporting bone health. For some individuals, magnesium supplements may also be considered, but it's important to do this under medical supervision to avoid potential side effects or interactions with other medications. Additionally, a comprehensive approach that includes proper nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors is essential for managing bone health effectively.
Based on user reviews, the time it takes to see results from this magnesium supplement can vary significantly. Overall, it seems that you may start to notice some relief in muscle or joint pain within days to weeks, depending on individual conditions and consistency in taking the supplement.
The supplement appears to have some support from scientific research for managing bone pain. A study investigating choline magnesium trisalicylate (CMT) demonstrated a significant reduction in pain in patients with metastatic cancer just one hour after administration. Although further comparisons revealed mixed outcomes regarding its overall effectiveness, the initial findings suggest that CMT could serve as a potential add-on therapy for bone pain management [3].
Additionally, another study explored a novel drug delivery system utilizing magnesium alongside denosumab, indicating promising potential for pain relief associated with osteoporosis [1]. However, both studies underline the need for additional research to firmly establish the full efficacy and safety of these treatments in broader applications.
Based on user reviews, many individuals have reported significant improvements in a variety of symptoms after incorporating this magnesium supplement into their routine. Users frequently mention a noticeable reduction in muscle tension and joint pain, with one reviewer highlighting relief from severe contractions and aches after just eight days of use Read Review. Additionally, users have experienced benefits such as alleviation from migraines and menstrual pain, with one user finding that a dose effectively prevented headaches and menstrual pain within an hour Read Review.
Moreover, several reviews point to improvements in sleep and overall relaxation, making the supplement popular for those looking to manage stress and anxiety. For instance, one user noted enhanced sleep quality by taking magnesium in the evenings, while another mentioned its calming effects on irritability and mood Read Review. While these experiences are quite positive, it’s vital to remember that individual results can vary widely, with some users reporting digestive discomfort or no benefits at all Read Review. Overall, many users advocate for this magnesium supplement as a helpful aid for various health concerns, particularly relating to muscle, joint, and stress-related issues.

However, user experiences do highlight some caution regarding the combination of magnesium with other supplements. While many report significant benefits, some individuals noted dissatisfaction or adverse reactions, such as digestive discomfort when taken with certain ingredients Read Review. Therefore, while combining magnesium with other supplements can be beneficial for many users dealing with bone pain, it is essential to carefully monitor individual responses for optimal results.
According to research, an optimal dose of magnesium for treating bone pain isn't clearly defined, as studies vary in their approach to magnesium supplementation. One notable study focused on choline magnesium trisalicylate (CMT), which demonstrated significant pain reduction just one hour after administration in patients with metastatic cancer [3]. However, while there was evidence suggesting magnesium could help alleviate bone pain, particularly as a complement to traditional pain prescriptions, further research is necessary to establish a standardized dose that ensures both safety and efficacy.
Additionally, another study underlines the advantages of magnesium in bone health by using a drug delivery framework that combines magnesium for delivering medication effectively. The advantages include promoting bone formation, yet it emphasizes that more investigations are needed to validate these findings in real-world settings [1]. Given the current data, those interested in magnesium supplementation for bone pain should consult healthcare professionals for personalized recommendations.

Minimal PMS pain
During the first days, I took magnesium twice daily. It initially made me drowsy at work, so I switched to taking it only in the evenings and noticed my sleep improved. Despite my attempts to avoid missing doses, it happens occasionally. I initially bought it to alleviate PMS pain; however, I haven’t observed significant changes in that regard yet. I selected this type for better absorption, and although the taste is far from pleasant, I’ve gotten used to it enough to not notice it much anymore.
